The prayer is to quash the pending CC.No.403 2024 on the file of the XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Georgetown, arising out of Crime No.114 of 2023 on the ground of compromise between the parties. 1/4

2. Upon considering the First Information Report, it can be seen that on account of a wordy quarrel the case has been registered under Sections 294 (b), 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code. As such on consideration of the overall facts and circumstances the case, since the parties have settled the issue amicably between them and the defacto complaint is also present before the Court and consents that the case can be quashed, I find that this is a fit case for invoking the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court. Accordingly the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
