The petitioner, along with others, brutally murdered Subramani in broad daylight in respect of money dispute of Rs.200/-. 1/4

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it was A1, Kamalakannan, who stabbed the deceased. The petitioner, who was a bystander and attempted to stop the fight, is now made an accused. 3.

However, in the First Information Report, it is stated that the petitioner, along with others, had been quarrelling with the deceased since the morning of 02.06.2025. Later at about 6.30 p.m., two of the accused tied the legs of the deceased, while one of them by name Karthick, caught hold of him. The petitioner kicked the deceased on his face and causing a bleeding injury. Thereafter, the 1st accused, Kamalakannan, stabbed him with knife and killed. 4.

Considering the nature of the offence and the injuries noted in the post-mortem report, this Court finds that the respondent police has to complete the investigation and file the final report. Till such time, if the petitioner is released on bail, it may lead to tampering the witnesses and evidence. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
