The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 9.11.2015 and pass final orders.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that the husband of the writ petitioner was holding the post of Deputy Agricultural Officer and subsequently, the husband of the writ petitioner was missing with effect from 25.7.2011. The writ petitioner lodged a complaint under the man missing case before the Palladam Police Station on 29.11.2011 and an FIR was registered in Crime No.2292 of 2011.
3. The learned counsel for the writ petitioner, in this regard, made a submission that the Police Department issued an order stating that the husband of the writ petitioner was not traceable and the same was also produced before the second respondent for consideration. Now more than seven years have lapsed from the date of missing of the husband of the writ petitioner and the respondents have not taken any action even to settle the pensionary and other terminal benefits due to the writ petitioner.
4. In these circumstances, it is the duty of the respondents to consider the case of the writ petitioner for settlement of terminal and other pensionary benefits due to the husband of the writ petitioner. Accordingly, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 9.11.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose
a copy of the representation and all other connected documents along with the order passed in this writ petition.
5. The writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
