It is seen that the petitioner is a founder of Political religious outfit and seeking police protection on the ground that there is a threat to his life. In this connection, the petitioner has given a representation dated 07.09.2017 to the Director General of Police and thereafter, the present Writ https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Petition has been filed.
2.Heard Mr.E.C.Ramesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.D.Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3.In the opinion of this Court, a Mandamus as prayed for cannot be granted and it is for the police to take into consideration the threat perception to an individual on a case to case basis and decide on this aspect.
With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
