PRAYER: Original Petition filed under Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 read with Order XXV Rule 6 of the Original Side Rules, prays that the 1st petitioner with power to collect the securities and to receive the interest and dividends on and negotiate and transfer the securities specified in the schedule hereunder may be granted to the 1st petitioner and pass such further or other orders as may be deemed fit and thus render justice.

ORDER
The petitioners seek Succession Certificate in respect of the securities held by Late V.Chidambaram, who died intestate on 12.10.2002. The petitioners are the wife and son of the deceased.
2. The second petitioner has been examined as PW1. She has produced the computer generated death certificate of the deceased V.Chidambaram as Ex.P2. The legal heirship certificate of the deceased as Ex.P3. A perusal of Ex.P3, shows that the petitioners are the only legal heirs of the deceased V.Chidambaram. A paper publication has been made and no objections have been received. The second petitioner has submitted his consent affidavit to grant succession in favour of the first petitioner.
3. In view of the above evidence, the Original Petition is allowed granting Succession Certificate in favour of the first petitioner, with the power to collect the securities and receive the interest and dividends mentioned in the schedule to the petition.
