ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the learned III Additional Family Court Judge of Chennai to expedite the proceedings in M.C.No.342 of 2017 on the file of the III Additional Family Court of Chennai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the wife of the respondent and she has filed a petition under Section 125 of Cr.P.C seeking maintenance in M.C.No.342 of 2017 on the file of the III Additional Family Court of Chennai. He further submitted that eventhough the petitioner examined herself as P.W.1(Chief-examination) on 21.06.2018 itself, thereafter, the matter has been routinely adjourned without making any progress and therefore, he prayed to direct the trial court to dispose of the aforesaid case at early.

2. A perusal of the xerox copy of the notes paper in M.C.No.342 of 2017 shows that the petitioner was examined in chief on 21.06.2018 as P.W.1 and thereafter, no progress has been made. Since the aforesaid case is relating to the maintenance, the trial court is directed to dispose of the aforesaid case within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
