For Petitioners (in all W.Ps. ) : Mr.S.N.Ravichandran For Respondents (in all W.Ps) : Mr.P.R.Dhilipkumar C O M M O N O R D E R These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to issue relieving orders to them so as to enable them to comply with the orders of transfer passed by the 1st respondent vide Memo.Nos.026303/ 195/ G.43/ G.432/ 2014-258, dated 17.02.2016,026303/ 195/G.43/G.432/2014-3, dated 03.09.2016 and 026303/195/G.43/G.432/2014-5, dated 03.09.2016 respectively, and the consequential re-posting orders dated 12.09.2016 and 07.10.2016 passed by the 4th and 5th respondents

2. This Court, by an order dated 03.01.2017, has passed the following order :

The Chief Engineer (Personnel) Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, having issued the transfer orders to all the three petitioners, have not been issued with the relieving orders to enable them to join in the new transferred place.

Although this Court has directed the learned counsel for the respondents to advise the respondents either to cancel the transfer orders or to issue the relieving orders, even after the passage of ten days time, no

response is forthcoming. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to appear before this Court on 09.01.2017 with his explanation.

3. Today, Mr.A.V.Ravi, Chief Engineer, Personnel TANGEDCO, is present before this court and he has also filed common counter affidavit on behalf of the respondents. Since the petitioners were relieved by the second respondent on 06.01.2017, nothing survives for adjudication in these writ petitions.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, these writ petitions are closed. No costs.
