ORDER
This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the third respondent for having committed contempt of the order dated 01.04.2025 passed by this Hon'ble court in WP.No. 26978 of 2019

In pursuant to the order of this Court dated 28.10.2025, a status report has been filed by the first respondent stating that orders extending the reservation for PSTM and Women has been issued in G.O.(Ms) No.163, Higher Education (H1) Department dated 18.07.2025 and hence the reservation of PSTM would not be applicable to TNSET examinations, 2018 conducted by the Mother Teresa Women's University.
3. The repeated submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the University has assured in a notification that the Government's Reservation Policy will be followed. But the Government has stated that as per the Reservation Policy, during the relevant year when the TNSET Examinations were conducted, the PSTM reservation was not in vogue. Hence, the petitioner cannot expect any order to be passed by the third respondent by accommodating him under PSTM category. If the petitioner is still aggrieved that PSTM reservation was in existence even when the notification for TNSET examination, 2018 has been issued by the third respondent, then he is at liberty to challenge the order dated 17.10.2025 in the manner known to law.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the third respondent has not filed any clarification note about the reservation under PSTM category. Even according to the petitioner, the third respondent is only a nodal agency who can at the best conduct examinations only based upon the policy of the Government specifically with regard to the reservation policy of the Government. Any statement issued by the Government in this regard may be treated as a response attributable to the third respondent as well. In view of the same, nothing survives further in this Contempt Petition.
