By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner, on the basis of a Sale Deed executed in his favour, by one Pavunasan and his sons, whereby, he has been conveyed with the properties comprised in S.No.505 1C, 505 1B and 506 1B, submitted a representation to the respondent, dated 21.06.2016, praying for transfer of patta in his name in respect of the said property. Since he has not been favoured with any response, he has come forward to file this Writ Petition.

Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent.

4. It is stated that the petitioner has sent his representation dated 21.06.2016 by registered post, which has been acknowledged by the respondent. It is also brought to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

notice of this Court that the Government has passed a G.O. No.209 dated 08.11.2016, wherein guidelines has been issued to the revenue authorities, to process the applications within a time frame. But, inspite of the same, the authorities have not taken any action on the representation of the petitioner for granting patta.

5. Therefore, this Court, is inclined to direct the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.06.2016, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
