O R D E R
The writ petition is filed for the relief herein below set out: directing the respondents to pay petitioner Rs.5 lakhs being the arrears of his retirement benefits.
2. The brief facts which has culminated in the filing of this writ petition are set out below:
2.1. It is the case of the petitioner that he had served as a Secretary in the second respondent Society from 03.06.2020 to 30.04.2023. It is his contention that a sum of Rs.23 lakhs was due to him as retirement benefits. However, the second respondent had settled only Rs.18 lakhs and the balance amount of Rs.5 lakhs still needs to be settled by the second respondent. The petitioner had made a representation on 26.05.2025 to the respondent. however, the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Heard the learned Counsels on either side and perused the records. 2/4
4. Based on the submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioner, it is seen that the only request of the petitioner before this Court is for early disposal of his representation dated 26.05.2025 to pay him the sum of Rs.5 lakhs which is admittedly due to him. A mandamus is therefore issued to the respondents to pay the petitioner Rs.5 lakhs being the arrears of his retirement benefits within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
