Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, direction to the respondents particular to 1st respondent by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 1/4

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to consider his representation dated 29.05.2023 and to take necessary action against the 5th respondent within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, he is a 6th Ward Member of the Goundachipudur Village Panchayat, Dharapuram Panchayat Uniopn, Tiruppur District and he submitted a representation against the President of the Panchayat namely the 5th respondent herein, making certain allegations against her style of functioning. The 1st respondent issued a show cause notice to the 5th respondent, she also appeared to file her explanation. However, there is no further progress. In these circumstances, the petitioner submitted a 2/4
representation dated 29.05.2023, requesting the 1st respondent to take immediate action against the 5th respondent in pursuance of the show cause notice already issued. Since the representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has come before this Court.
3. Mr.A.Edwin Prabhakar, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the 3rd respondent. Mr.P.Anandha Kumar, learned Government Advocate, who is taking notice for the respondents 1, 2 & 4 submits that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.
4.In view of the said stand taken by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2023 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The 1st respondent is also directed to communicate the copy of the order to the petitioner. 3/4
