ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by A.Senthilkumaran seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal petitions dated 22.08.2016 and 11.11.2016, within a stipulated time.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on 17.02.1997, the petitioner was originally appointed as Junior Assistant in the Primary Health Centre at Vettavalam on compassionate ground. While the petitioner was expecting promotion to the post of Superintendent, on 03.02.2004, the Deputy Director of Public Health Services, Thiruvannamalai, issued a charge memo under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. Subsequently, the petitioner has given his explanation on 04.03.2004 and finally, after completing the enquiry, the Deputy Director of Public Health Services, Thiruvannamalai, in his proceedings dated 26.08.2008, finding him guilt of the charges, imposed the punishment of stoppage of increment for one year without cumulative effect. Thereafter, the petitioner gave his appeals to the respondent on 22.08.2016 and 11.11.2016 respectively, along with the acknowledgement and after the receipt of the same, till date the respondent has not disposed of his appeal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Taking note of the pendency of the appeals, this Court, directs the respondent to dispose of the appeals viz., dated 22.08.2016 and 11.11.2016 respectively by taking note of his additional grounds, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
