ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.09.2023 and consequently direct the second respondent to opt out of the post of Tutor Forensic Medicine Vellore Medical College.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he is working as a Tutor in Forensic Medicine, Government Thiruvannamalai Medical College, Thiruvannamalai. and he has opted for Vellore in the proposed transfer counselling. However, the second respondent, who is not holding MD in Forensic Medicine has opted for the same place in the counselling. It is the contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that as per the Circular dated 19.04.2023 and 27.07.2023, the Medical officers working in non-parent departments should opt for their parent departments in the available vacancies in the proposed transfer counselling. The above circulars have not been taken note by the first respondent. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation to 2/4

the first respondent on 22.09.2023. However, the same has not been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

Considering the limited relief sought in this Writ Petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.09.2023 in the light of the circulars issued by the first respondent dated 19.04.2023 and 27.04.2023 and pass Orders on the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
