ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.07.2024 by considering her passport application in File No.MA1066295511924 under Section 20 of the Passport Act.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that she made application on 18.07.2024 for passport to the second respondent and till date, the same has not been considered. Hence, the present petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the application made by the petitioner has already been rejected. 2/4

5. In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the rejection order has not been communicated to the petitioner till date.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court directs the second respondent to communicate the rejection order to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above directions, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order, if she wants.
