O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 26.08.2023 filed by the petitioner.

2. A complaint was instituted under Section 77-A of the Registration Act to cancel the document executed. The District Registrar cancelled the document and aggrieved from and out of the said order, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent / Inspector General of Registration on 26.08.2023. During the pendency of the appeal before the 1st respondent, the 2nd respondent / Inspector of Police, at the instigation of the respondents 3 and 4 are interfering with the agricultural activities of the petitioner in the subject property.

3. Since the dispute between the petitioner and respondents 3 and 4 are of civil nature, the Police Authorities have no role to play. The issue on

merits are to be considered by the 1st respondent / Inspector General of Registration and therefore, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the appeal and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law by following the procedures as expeditiously as possible.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
