ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner he has been unnecessarily harassed by the second respondent. In the entire affidavit filed along with the petition, absolutely, there is no details as to the nature of harassment done by the second respondent. In such view of the matter, a blanket direction not to harass cannot be granted. The harassment is so subjective and the same cannot be encapsulated in an objective criteria. The petitioner is a history sheeter and he has 45 cases to his credit.

3. It is the case of the prosecution that on 13.07.2025, the petitioner had gone to the temple with henchmen in 7 motor cycles and created ruckus. In an earlier occasion, the petitioner was arrayed as an accused in Crime No.319 of 2024 and the judicial Magistrate while Ordering bail to the petitioner in the above crime number in Crl.M.P.No.895 of 2024, had Ordered that the petitioner shall not be present in Villupuram. Despite the same, he has gone to Villupuram and created ruckus.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that such a general direction cannot be issued. It is for the respondents to take action as per law.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 14-08-2025
