O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to seek a direction to expedite the investigation in Crime No.17 of 2019 dated 09.10.2019 and to file the final report within a stipulated time.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the investigation has been completed and the final report has been filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kallakurichi in Crime No.17 of 2019 dated 13.08.2025.

3. The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kallakurichi is directed to give priority to verify the final report and, if deficiencies found, memo to be issued to the respondent police to rectify the defects, if any within a stipulated time. In the event of returning the final report to be resubmitted to Principal Sessions Judge, the same to be followed.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor undertakes to rectify deficiency if any, pointed out and to re-submit the same within a period of two weeks before the appropriate Court. In such case, the charge sheet shall 2/4

be taken on file and CC number to be assigned within a period of two weeks.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
