O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a mandamus directing the respondent to permit the petitioner to participate in the selection of MBBS and BDS seats (Government Quota) for the session 2025-2026 by considering his candidature.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he aspire to compete Government and Management Quota seats. However, the petitioner's name was placed under the ineligible candidates list for the Government Quota, whereas his name is eligible to participate for Management Quota. He would further submit that the petitioner comes from a poor background and hails from a rural area. He also submits that the petitioner learned that the reason for his ineligibility for Government Quota is, uploading illegible mark sheet. Hence, prayed to interfere.

Per contra, the learned Special Counsel appearing for the respondent was strongly objected to the said contention, and contended that it is the duty of the petitioner to upload a legible mark sheet and that they have already released a rank list for the Government Quota. It is the further submission of 2/5
the learned Special Counsel that the choice logging option is available upto 11:00 p.m. today. Therefore, contend that any interference would cause serious repercussions on the admission process. Hence, the respondent prays to dismiss the instant writ petition.
4. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions.
5. The petitioner's name find in the ineligible list for the Government quota, but for the Management quota, his name come in eligible list. If the petitioner had uploaded illegible mark sheet, his name would also come in ineligible list even against Management Quota. Therefore, when a person is eligible to be considered for a Management Quota, denial of opportunity for the Government Quota is unreasonable, arbitrary and without any rational. Apart from that, as of now, the choice logging option is still available, and the deadline for choice logging is 11:00 p.m. today.
6. In view of such peculiar circumstances, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondent to permit the petitioner to participate in the selection of MBBS and BDS seats (Government Quota) for the session 3/5
2025-2026. The learned Special Counsel is requested to inform the authority concerned to permit the petitioner without awaiting a copy of the order.
7. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
