Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 21.11.2016 requesting the respondents to follow the communal rotation and to appoint the petitioner as Office Assistant in the available vacancy at Ponniyanthal Village.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

2 The petitioner claims to be a resident of Ponniyanthal Village, Thirukovilur Taluk, Villupuram District and belongs to Schedule Caste Community, living below the poverty line and successfully completed +2 [Higher Secondary Course] and doing labour work in agricultural fields to eke out his livelihood. It is further averred by the petitioner that an article appeared in Dinakaran Tamil News daily on 04.07.2016, informing that vacancies for the post of Village Menial are to be filled up in respect of the villages of Sellangkuppam,

Deviyagaram, Kulatheepamangalam, Ponniyanthal and Thiruvennainallur and the petitioner apprehends that since the press release does not indicate as to the filling up of the post on communal reservation, he submitted representations dated 11.07.2016, 31.10.2016 and 21.11.2016 respectively to the 1st respondent and though those representations were received and acknowledged, the petitioner is yet to be favoured with any kind of response and hence, he came forward to file the present writ petition.

3 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4 Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, permits the petitioner to submit one more representation to the 3rd respondent along with a copy of this order as well as the copies of his earlier representations, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the 3rd respondent, upon receipt of the same, is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a further period of three weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5 The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
