PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on merits by disposing the written representation made by the petitioner on 31.08.2024 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.08.2024.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was declared as successful bidder in the tender floated in the year 2023 to run hotel at Kangayam Bus stand and he has been paying the lease amount of Rs.70,918/- per month regularly. However, the fifth respondent, namely, the
Commissioner, Kangayam Municipality, Kangayam, Tiruppur District, is not instructing the officials of the Transport Corporation to stop the buses for 10 minutes in Kangayam Bus Stand, due to which, the petitioner and the other members, who are running the shops in Kangayam Bus stand, sustained loss and therefore, the petitioner has made a representation on 31.08.2024 before the fifth respondent for reducing the lease amount from Rs.70,918/- to Rs.35,000/- per month, however, the same has not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the fourth respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.08.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent Nos.1, 2 and 5, the learned counsel appearing for the third
respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent have no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.08.2024 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
