This petition has been filed to condone the delay of 287 days in filing the above appeal against the judgment and decree dated 21.12.2023 made in M.A.C.T.O.P.No.5350 of 2019 by the learned Chief Judge, Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, (Court of Small Causes), Chennai.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.B.Siva Kollappan, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.
3. The reasons adduced in the affidavit filed in support of this petition being satisfactory, this petition stands ordered and consequently, the delay of 287 days in filing the above appeal is condoned, subject to the condition that the petitioners will not be entitled to any interest for the delay period i.e., for 287 days, in the appeal.
4. Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order and post the case for admission in due course.
