This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the second respondent police to give permission to conduct the cultural programme (Aadal & Padal Nigalchi) in the event of Arultahrum Kundan Sakthi Mariyamman Temple Festival at Kundan Sakthi Mariyamman Tidal, Vadugampalayam, Minnakkal Village, Rasipuram Taluk, Nammal District on 11.11.2022 at 6.30p.m by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.11.2022. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct cultural programme on 11.11.2022 at 06.30p.m, in the event of Arultahrum Kundan Sakthi Mariyamman Temple Festival at Kundan Sakthi Mariyamman Tidal, Vadugampalayam, Minnakkal Village, Rasipuram Taluk, Nammal District, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 01.11.2022 to the second respondent police. But the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a circular memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the second respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 01.11.2022 and pass 3/6
suitable orders based on the above said circular. Uploaded copy can be utilized for the purpose of execution of the order. 6.
With these observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
