This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 20.07.2024 wherein the petitioner has sought for transfer to any one of the Government Medical College Hospital at Tirunelveli District.

2. Heard Mr.M.Vignesh Raj, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she is working as a staff nurse at Government Medical College, ESI Hospital, Coimbatore. She is working in the said hospital from the year 2016 onwards. According to the petitioner, she has to take care of her children and her family and hence, she has to regularly travel to her native at Tirunelveli. The further case of the petitioner is that there are nearly 15 vacancies in the post of staff nurse at Tirunelveli District and Tenkasi District. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents to consider transferring her either to Tirunelveli District or Tenkasi District. Since the 2/4

representation did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate direction.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 20.07.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
