Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.06.2016 in accordance with law and direct the respondents to change the name of the petitioner father as Venkatesan in the Service Register maintained by the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Kottam-II, instead of wrongly mentioned as Venkatraman.

2. The petitioner joined the services of the respondents/Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Salem on 21.03.1993 as Driver and according to him, Transfer Certificate was issued by the School Authorities, wherein the name of the petitioner's father has been wrongly mentioned as Venkatraman instead of Venkatesan. The petitioner's father died on 09.11.2006 and he was issued with Legal Heirship Certificate by the revenue authorities stating the name of the petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
father as Venkatesan. The petitioner has also submitted a representation dated 09.06.2016 to the respondents praying for change of the name of his father as Venkatesan in the Service Register Book and though it was received and acknowledged, no orders came to be passed and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Paramasivadoss, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
4. Though the petitioner has prayed for larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
