Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second and third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2024 and consequently cancel the patta granted in faovur of the fourth respondent herein vide 1/5

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 2 & 3 to consider his representation dated 26.02.2024 seeking cancellation of patta issued in the name of the fourth respondent in respect of the property situated in S.No.160/1 at Goolur Village, Thiruthani Taluk and Thiruvallur District.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the suit property belonged to his grand father Kuppu Reddy and he had five sons and one daughter. The petitioner is the son of Raji Reddy. The fourth respondent without having any manner of right on the basis of forged document obtained patta for the suit property in his favour. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 26.02.2024 seeking cancellation of the patta and the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation of 2/5

the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.02.2024 and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner, fourth respondent and other interested parties.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
