Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 particularly, the third respondent to remove the encroachment made by the fourth respondent by destroying trees of the Government Thoppu Poramboke land, situated at Pancharai Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, comprised in S.No.107/3 for

construction of his family temple, namely 'Ammachar Amman Temple' by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.08.2023 sent to the respondents 1 to 3.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.R.Thanjan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that after the petition was filed, steps were taken to remove the material sand, used for construction and now, no encroachment exists. However, once again survey would be conducted and if any encroachment is found, the same would be removed from the subject land.

3. In view of the said submission, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 06.10.2023 Index :
