Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the District Collector Cuddalore and Revenue Tahsildar Cuddalore the respondents 1 & 3 herein to grant patta for the land in cultivation and possession for a longer period over 30 years by the petitioner and his family in SF.No.60/2A in Kilkumaramangalam Village Cuddalore Taluk, Cuddalore District as requested in his representation dated 29.07.2024 within a stipulated time as specified by this Court. 1/5

O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to grant patta in his name in respect of the property situated in survey No.60/2A in Kilkumaramangalam Village Cuddalore Taluk, Cuddalore District, by considering his representation dated 29.07.2024.
2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is in possession and enjoyment of 50 cents of land, out of total area of 1.50 Hectare in survey No.60. The patta for the entire extent of land was issued in the name of 13 persons. The petitioner submitted a representation on 29.07.2024 seeking inclusion of his name in the patta based on his possession and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5
4. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

Though the petitioner in his affidavit filed in support of this writ petition stated that he has been in possession and enjoyment of 50 cents of land, in the representation submitted by him, he sought issuance of patta in respect of entire extent of land. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 29.07.2024. However, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the third respondent confining his request in respect of portion of the property in his possession within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such representation is filed within the time stipulated, the third respondent shall consider the same and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner and all the pattadhars, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
