Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.03.2012 and 02.08.2014 for issuing compassionate appointment in favour of her son C.Sushanth in the respondent Bank due to the death of her husband P.Chandrasekar. For Petitioner :

Mr.K.Karthikeyan

O R D E R

The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though the application for appointment on compassionate ground was submitted within two months from the date of demise of the petitioner's husband, seeking employment to herself, it is yet

to be disposed of and therefore, came forward to file this writ petition.

2. A perusal of the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition would disclose that the husband of the petitioner died on 06.05.2003 due to illness and immediately, a representation/application was submitted by the petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate ground, as she is a B.Sc. B.Ed. graduate and further particulars were also called for and the required particulars have been furnished and despite very many representations dated 09.03.2012, 27.07.2014, 02.08.2014, followed by a lawyers notice dated 21.12.2015 issued on behalf of the petitioner, no response was forthcoming and hence, came forward with this writ petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to direct the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 09.03.2012, 27.07.2014, 02.08.2014 as well as the lawyer's notice dated 21.12.2015 sent on her behalf on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 09.03.2012, 27.07.2014, 02.08.2014 as well as the lawyer's notice dated 21.12.2015 sent on her behalf and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
