ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for mandamus to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the NEET-UG 2025 counselling process.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner appeared in the NEET-UG 2025 Examination and secured 534 marks out of
720. However, due to an inadvertent error, the petitioner uploaded her Admit Card of the year 2024. Therefore, she was brought under the ineligible list for the Government quota.

At this juncture, the learned Special Counsel appearing on behalf of the 2nd respondent submitted that, the petitioner uploaded the incorrect Admit Card, for which, the respondents cannot be held responsible. Further, as per the prospectus, the defective applications are liable to be rejected. Hence, the 2/5
learned counsel prayed to dismiss the present writ petition.
4. I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions and also perused the materials available on record.
5. While looking at the factual position, there is no serious dispute that the petitioner appeared for the NEET-UG 2025 Examination and secured 534 marks out of 720. Therefore, this Court is of the firm view that an inadvertent mistake in uploading certain documents cannot be a valid reason to deny the petitioner's legitimate right to participate in the present counselling that too based upon the marks which she obtained in the NEET -UG 2025 Examination. Therefore, this Court directs the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the NEET-UG 2025 counselling under the Government quota.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions stand closed. The learned Special Counsel is requested to inform the authorities concerned about this order and to permit the petitioner to participate in the NEET-UG 2025 3/5
Counselling under the Government quota, without awaiting the copy of the order of this Court.
