Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the 3rd respondent herein relating to the process followed in the nomination of the Search Committee for the post of Vice-Chancellor to the Madurai Kamaraj University following the G.O.No. 407, dated 20.12.2016 issued by the 1st Respondent and quash the same and direct respondents 1 to 3 herein to re-constitute the Search Committee by removing the 4th respondent from the Search Committee in accordance with the Madurai Kamaraj University Act.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner at length. In the midst of the selection process, we are not inclined to interfere merely because one of the Members of the Search Committee resigned. The tenor of the letter sent by the person who has resigned as a Member of the Search Committee seems to suggest his working equation problems with the Chairperson, rather than anything substantive. In view of the aforesaid, the petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.38584 and 38585 of 2016 are closed.
