This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in C.C No. 1038 of 2023, pending on the file of the learned Principal Special Court under EC and NDPS Act, Chennai in Crime No. 89 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, based on the secret information about the illegal transportation of Narcotic substance, the respondent police went to the scene of occurrence on suspicion they caught hold the A1 and found in possession of 15 grams of Cocaine. Based on the confession of A1, the respondent police searched A2/petitioner and found 192 grams of cocaine. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits based on the confession of A1, the petitioner has been implicated in this case and for the past five months the petitioner is in custody and investigation has been completed in this case. Hence, he prayed to allow this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that out of 207 grams, 192 grams of cocaine has been recovered from this petitioner and the matter is posted for P.W.1 cross. Hence, he prayed to dismiss this petition.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Trial is at initial stage. Hence, I am not inclined to allow this petition. Further, the Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
