Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner representation dated 18.04.2023 within a stipulated period and to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the illegal encroachments in the Ettiamman Koil Sandhu Street, No.55, Thandalam Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and to restore the entire Ettiamman Koil Sandhu Street to its original form. For the Petitioner : Mr.MA.Mathews Berchmans For the Respondents : Mr.P.Muthukumar State Government Pleader for R1 to R3

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.MA.Mathews Berchmans, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the amount is also remitted for the survey, but, as yet the survey is not conducted nor the report is received.

3. In case the amount is paid by the petitioner, so also an application is filed on record, then the concerned authority is required to process the application. The authority shall process the application

filed by the petitioner for survey expeditiously. Based on the report of the survey, the parties are entitled to take further steps in accordance with law.

4. In the light of that, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
