With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.
2. Heard Mr.A.Thirumaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.V.Sekvakumar, Standing Counsel for the respondents.
3. This writ petition has been filed, praying to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 3/10/2015 and grant trade licence to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. The petitioner is said to be running a chicken stall and it appears that as on date, he does not possess license and it is not known as how the respondent has granted permission to run the chicken stall. However, recently, an improvement notice has been issued to the petitioner by the respondent Corporation. After compliance, the petitioner has sent a letter to the Assistant Health Officer, Chennai Corporation, Zone 5, Division 52, Chennai and the same has been acknowledged, as it could be seen from the date and seal of the Assistant Health Officer, in the said representation.
5. In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the second respondent to nominate an Officer to carry out a surprise inspection of the petitioner shop and if the petitioner's shop is in hygenic condition, then the second respondent shall consider the petitioner's application for grant of licence.The above direction shall be complied with within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
