ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner who is a retired Deputy General Manager in Neyveli Lignite Corporation and claims to be a social worker, relying upon the newspaper report published in the Daily dated 23.12.2015, had raised the issue of indiscriminate cutting of trees. It is the case of the petitioner that the issue is being examined under the direction of the District Collector.

2. The petitioner now seeks to approach this Court for a direction to appoint a particular Advocate practising in the High Court to watch and report to the Court regarding the mismanagement in the construction and the related activities for the celebration of 125th year of the Government Boys Higher Secondary School (South), Namakkal.

The basis is the representation sent by a political group.

3. The learned Government Pleader informs us that the local MLA has allotted certain funds for the benefit of the school, as also the local Member of Parliament. The work is being carried out under the supervision of the Public Works Department.

4. It can hardly be expected that the Court should perform a role to monitor any improvements in every school and we are of the view that there is no larger public interest issue raised in this matter, so as to call our intervention.

5. The writ petition is dismissed. No costs. -s/dAssistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar bbr To 1.The Secretary to Education Department, Fort St. George, Chennai-600 009.
