The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 296(b) of BNS, 2023 r/w Section 3(1) (s) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, in Crime No.257 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Due to previous enmity, a complaint has been registered for the offences under Sections 296(b) of BNS, 2023 r/w Section 3(1) (s) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the defacto complainant oppose granting of anticipatory bail.

4. However, considering the nature of the complaint, this Court is of the view that the petitioner shall approach the Special Court for anticipatory bail and if any such application is filed, the trial Court shall consider the application on the 2/4

same day and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law.
