O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to provide water and sewerage connection to the petitioner's house in Survey No.521-A, Mohamediyar Street, Manalur Pettai, Thirukovilur Taluk, Villupuram District.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the property measuring an extent of 99.25 Sq.Mts. in S.No.52/1-A was purchased by his father on 19.6.1986 and the same was settled in favour of the petitioner by a registered deed dated 05.08.2009, thereby he has become absolute owner of the said property. It is further stated that the petitioner has constructed a house as per approved plan and it is also https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

provided with electricity connection and he has been paying the tax regularly.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite repeated request, the respondent did not provide water and sewage connection and in this regard he submitted a representation to the respondent on 21.01.2016. Since, there was no action, present writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.P.Vijendran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the material documents available on record.

In the light of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation / application to the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by enclosing a copy of the order after paying necessary fees. On such compliance the respondent shall consider and take appropriate action on merits and in accordance with law, after providing due opportunity to all the necessary parties, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
