O R D E R

The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the impugned order dated 04.01.2016, stipulates that the writ petitioner is liable to pay the Electricity consumption charges of Rs.1,20,085/-(Rupees One Lakh, Twenty Thousand and Eighty Five only). The petitioner had already deposited Rs.85,000/- (Rupees Eighty Five Thousand only) and the balance amount of Rs.35,085/-(Rupees Thirty Five Thousand and Eighty Five only) is to be paid to the Electricity Board.

2. The Learned Counsel for the respondents states that the allegations against the writ petitioner is theft of energy and therefore, the petitioner is liable to pay the entire amount. Taking note of the fact that the writ petitioner had already https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

deposited Rs.85,000/-(Rupees Eighty Five Thousand only), the writ petitioner is directed to deposit the balance amount of Rs.35,085/-(Rupees Thirty Five Thousand and Eighty Five only) in two equal instalments, commencing from 15.09.2018. In the event of not paying the said amount, the respondent Board is empowered to initiate all further actions by following the procedures as contemplated under law.
