Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.815 of 2018 pending on the file of the respondent police.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the present petition is to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.815 of 2018.

2. The FIR in Crime No.815 of 2018 came to be registered on 09.10.2018. In a quash petition filed before this Court by the accused, this Court, by an order dated 21.01.2019 in Crl.O.P.No.860 of 2019, had directed the police to file a final report, as expeditiously as possible. Though more than nine months have lapsed since then, it is stated that the investigation is still pending.

3. It is rather unfortunate that the respondent police have chosen to disregard the directions of this Court and has kept the investigation pending for such a long time. This Court is of the view that one more opportunity could be granted to the respondent before taking any further action on them.

4. In the light of the above observations, the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

herein shall endeavour to complete the investigation in Crime No.815 of 2018, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
