Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Thiru.L.P.Shanmugasundarm, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the election for the George Town Co-operative Bank itself is now cancelled by the order of the first respondent in and by its proceedings No.Na.Ka.2342/2018/Ku.The.2, dated 04.05.2018.

3. In view of the cancellation of election, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
