ORDER

This revision seeks expeditious disposal of Crl.M.P.No.2669 of 2024 in D.V.C.No.8 of 2020 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate (Additional Mahila Court), Cuddalore.

2. When the matter came up for admission, I called for a report from the learned Judicial Magistrate (Additional Mahila Court), Cuddalore as to why the proceedings are pending.

3. The Magistrate has sent a report dated 18.11.2024 stating that as a Stay Petition is pending, in the appeal preferred against the final order passed in the D.V.C., the matter is not yet disposed of.

4. Mere pendency of the Stay Petition does not operate as a stay of the proceedings. Therefore, there shall be a direction that the learned Judge proceeds with Crl.M.P.No.2669 of 2024 and dispose of the same within a 2/4

period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case, the respondent obtains stay in appeal, proceedings shall stand deferred. 28.11.2024 ssi Index : Yes Internet : Yes To
