ORDER

The present Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order dated 18.10.2016 passed by this Court in W.P.No.36234 of 2016, in and by which, this Court, while disposing of the said Writ Petition in W.P.No.36234 of 2016, directed the respondent to disburse the retiral benefits to the petitioner in twelve equal monthly instalments, in the light of the common judgment passed by this Court in W.A.(MD).Nos.383

to 457 of 2015 (K.Rajendran and others Vs. The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Madurai) Limited, rep. by its Managing Director, Madurai and others), dated 12.06.2015 and it was made clear that the first instalment shall commence from 01.01.2017. Today, when the Contempt Petition is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Transport Corporation submitted that the said order of this Court had been complied with by the respondent. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the interest portion has not been paid to the petitioner. Since the said order of this Court had been complied with by the respondent, nothing further survives for consideration in this Contempt Petition, which is accordingly closed.

If the petitioner is having any other grievance, he is at liberty to make a representation in that behalf to the respondent.
