This writ petition has been filed by the Tamil Nadu Primary Health Centre Temporary Dental Surgeon Association represented by its President Dr.S.Gopinath seeking a limited prayer for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondenthttps://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, Chennai to consider their pending representation dated 21.1.2016 for permanent absorption, since they were appointed temporarily under a Scheme called National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) as Dental Surgeons on daily wages at the rate of Rs.500/- per session for six sessions in a week, which has been subsequently enhanced to Rs.800/- per session. Since they have been working for more than eleven years, they should be brought in the regular time scale of pay.
2. Mr.K.Rajendraprasad, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. Considering the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going to the merits, this Court hereby directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.1.2016 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
