By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to the respondents 3 to 19 is dispensed with.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to survey and point out the field boundaries of the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No.89/2I at Kolanaiyakanpatti Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District measuring an extent of 5 Ares by fixing stones along with police aid of the 2nd respondent for survey and also setting up the fencing to the petitioner's aforesaid mentioned property in pursuance of petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2025. 3/7

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner submitted an online application dated 14.07.2025 to the 1st respondent for surveying and pointing out the field boundaries of the property comprised in S.No.89/2I, measuring to an extent of 5 Ares, situated at Kolanaiyakanpatti Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District. The petitioner has also made a representation dated 21.07.2025 to the respondents, seeking survey and demarcate boundaries of the subject property along with police protection. However, nothing has been progressed. Hence, this writ petition.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for the 1st respondent that the above representation as well as the online application of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. It is further submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader that in case police protection is required, a request would be made to the 2nd respondent. When this was pointed out, the learned Government Advocate, 4/7
Mr.R.Kishore Kumar appearing for the 2nd respondent would submit that if any such request is made, adequate police protection will be granted.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with following directions:- i) The 1st respondent shall consider the representation dated 21.07.2025 as well as the online application dated 14.07.2025 in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner, the respondents 3 to 19 and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any.
ii) Though facts have been set out extensively in the affidavit, this Court does not propose to deal with it while leaving it open to the 1st respondent to call for any document/conduct enquiry to satisfy itself of the petitioner's entitlement for surveying and demarcating the boundaries of the subject property.
iii) The entire process shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy.
iv) It is open to the 1st respondent to request for police protection before the 2nd respondent. If any such request is made, 2nd respondent is directed to 5/7
provide adequate police protection for surveying and demarcating the boundaries of the subject property.
v) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the 1st respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open. No costs.
