The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents police to grant permission to conduct a peaceful procession on 01.05.2017 at about 9.30, starting from near Indra Gandhi Statue at Manavala Nagar, Tiruvallur to the District Collector Officer, Tiruvallur.

2. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. The prayer sought for in this petition became infructuous.
3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
