The petitioner herein is an absconding accused against whom a Non Bailable Warrant issued by the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Karaikal, had been pending for about two years and he was secured only on 21.04.2025. Dr.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the case relates to a crime of the year 2017, wherein one Ex.MLA was done to death due to previous enmity. He further submitted that after long abscondence this petitioner was secured on 21.04.2025 and one more accused against whom NBW is pending is yet to be secured.

Considering the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
