One Vijayan was brought to the hospital dead. In view of the suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, a post-mortem was conducted, which 1/4

disclosed that he had been done to death by smothering and strangulation by hands. On the complaint given by the mother of the deceased, a case has been registered in Crime No.20 of 2025 on 18.03.2025 for the offence under Section 194 of BNSS, 2023 and later altered to 103(1), 333, 61(2)(a), 238 BNS, 2023. In total seven accused are suspected in this case. A2, the paramour of A1, is absconding and a lookout notice has been issued , while the others are in custody. 2.

The present petitioner, arrayed as A4, claims innocence, stating that he was only asked by A3 to drop him at the station and except that he has no role in this crime. However, the confession statement of the co-accused reveals his presence in the scene of occurrence.

3.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State submits that since investigation is not yet completed, releasing of the petitioner on bail may lead to further delay in securing A2, who is a schoolmate of the present petitioner.

4.

Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
