Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to reconsider and pass order on the representation dated 03.05.2011 and 20.01.2016 for the permanent absorption of the petitioner as a helper in Generation Circle / Kundah within the period of fixed by this Hon'ble Court. O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.R.Dhilipkumar, learned Standing Counsel for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, after accepting notice for the respondents. With the consent on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Petitioner seeks for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to reconsider his representations and permanently absorb him as a helper in the Generation Circle, Kundah. If the petitioner seeks for regular employment with the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Board, then the remedy lies elsewhere and writ of mandamus cannot be issued to regularise the petitioner's services or to reconsider his representation, especially, when the 1st respondent has already informed the petitioner by communication dated 23.02.2011 that his request is not feasible of compliance. The said order has not been challenged and the question of issuing writ of mandamus as sought for, does not arise.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. However, this order will not prevent the petitioner from invoking the remedy available to him under the other relevant statutes.
