ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed praying to suspend the sentence imposed in Spl.SC.No.213 of 2022 dated 21.10.2024 on the file of the Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Chennai and to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending disposal of the above appeal.

The petitioner is the accused in Spl.SC.No.213 of 2022 on the file of the Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Chennai. At the end of the trial, he was convicted and sentenced as follows:

Rank of the accused Conviction under Section Sentence awarded Sole accused Section 6 of POCSO Act to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 20 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to undergo simple imprisonment for one month Section 506(ii) of IPC to undergo imprisonment for a period of 3 years 3.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent. 4.

It is seen that the Trial Court has gone through the evidence in 2/4

its entirety and convicted the petitioner. Further, this Court finds no reasons to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner. As such, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.

Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
