ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Contempt Petition has been instituted to punish the Respondents for Contempt for their willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 29178 of 2023, dated 12.12.2023.
2. The report filed by the Tahsildar, Edapadi Taluk shows that the identified encroachments have been removed, and cart-track is made available for public use. It is further stated that some portions of the land are classified as patta land.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would oppose by stating that after the removal of the encroachments, again some persons have encroached upon the land.
4. If so, authorities are bound to conduct inspection, monitor the situation, and take all appropriate actions to ensure that the public cart-track remains free from encroachments and available for public use.
