ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation expeditiously.

2. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that, despite the filing of the FIR, no effective steps have been taken by the Investigating Officer, particularly, with regard to the arrest of the accused. It is further stated that the revenue records have been forged, but no action has been taken so far.

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that FIR in this case was registered only on 26.06.2025 and the investigation is at the initial stage .

4. On perusal of the materials, it is seen that the allegation pertains to forgery of revenue records. Such allegation can be addressed on the basis of the 2/4

seizure of the documents. Custody or arrest of the accused is not at all required in all cases, and the same depends on the facts and necessity of the investigation.

5. In such view of the matter, seeking a direction to complete the investigation at the instance of a party cannot be permissible in the eye of law. It is for the Investigation Officer to investigate the matter in accordance with law. Hence, I do not find any merit in the present Petition.
